In this ensemble, students will learn to play and arrange music in a group setting, focusing on non-classical styles such as American fiddle styles, rock, jazz, and folk music from around the world. Students will develop important musical skills including learning songs by ear, improvising, accompanying others, and applying music theory in creative ways. This ensemble encourages collaboration, creativity, and musical exploration in a fun and supportive environment!
This is class is specifically designed for middle school musicians ages 11-14. A minimum of two years of playing is preferred.
12 classes beginning September 17th

Final performance Sunday December 14th, with additional performance TBA
